these guys get paid an exorbitant sum playing cricket for the country....so what is the real need to do advertisements?
i thought they were supposed to be soooooo busy training and always claim to have no time for their families......so how do they actually have time to do adverts?
are these guys just plain greedy or is it that they are underpaid (which i doubt).
or could it be just for fame (which i also doubt)?
i'm a big fan of anil kumble....has anyone seen him doing any adverts?

Thank you smartgizmo for raising the topic. I think they are greedy. The need more and more money. They know very well that they will be playing for say 6-10 years if they play consistantly. So it is better to amass as much money as possible. When Sunil Gavaskar's advertisement came up in the media everyone noted that. Now you will see the so called stars in TV for much more cumulative time than in the field as a batsman. Read Dhoni, Sehwag.
