Is it a wake up call for ICC.
Zim's recent thrashing by WI has aroused a few questions in the minds of cricket experts. This is not the first time it has happened in CT as some of the lowest scores in CT.

Now the point is shud teams like Zim,Ban,Ken be allowed to play in such important tournaments. It not only kills the magic of the game but also humiliates such team and their countrymen which results in their loosin morale.

That is cricket for you. The minnows have to play the biggies ever now and then, though not on a regular basis, they will surely learn a thing or two while playing the big boys which they may not learn while playing against a fellow weaker team or by watching big boys play.

Unlike footy, minnows just cant sit and defend in criki they have to rise their game {which ofcourse is very difficult for new commers} or suffer the wrath.
Hopefully they should only learn from the experience.

I guess the current format is pretty good Zim is playing against WI who are at the bottom of the table so it is just that even throuh WI are at bottom they have improved their game tremondously in past couple of months.

Another point I can think of is that having a two levels in
WC and in champions trophy so the big guns including WI, NZ & SL compete in the upper level. While the bottom teams like BD, Kenya and Zim compete against other new teams like Nederlands, USA, Canada, UAE.

This way all the teams will play competitive cricket.

I agree with Sports. In other discussion I have mentioned that the ICC should create two groups. Elite and non-elite. Teams like Bangladesh, Zimbaway, Holland, UAE, Kenya should be in the non-elite group. They should improve themselves before playing in the elite group.
