What a serious turnaround this World Cup has taken! From all the talk of the minnows coming in for criticism, the World Cup has already has its first victim. Pakistan's defeat has sent shockwaves through the subcontinent. Suddenly all of India is worried that India oculd well face the same story if they struggle to get past Bermuda.
But should we be worried against Bermuda? There is no question of underestimating the opposition. Every team must be given its due. But with respect to the strength and quality of the Indian squad, is there need to lose confidence so early in the tournament?
It must also be mentioned here that the cricketing world is sad to lose Bob Woolmer. He was an innovative man and charismatic coach and the reasons of his death may still be blurred. But there is no doubt of the ability of the man. But there are many reasons to look closely at all matters Pakistan.
Coming back to India...
Like I mentioned before, drop the excess baggage like Sehwag and move on. But chances are, in less than three hours time, he will very well feature in India's plans in one last attempt to regain his form. But will it prove too late for India?
People who did not want to watch the game against Bermuda will now look at Bermuda with cautious eyes! What a turnaround indeed!
