The Indian cricketers are under immense pressure to win. Something like this was bound to happen when India loses significantly against the best test team after winning the 20/20 world cup. India should be the best cricketing nation because they have a greater pool of players to pick in their team and cricket is the most popular sport.

The root of this issue is that Australia has a superior side, and teams such as India find it very difficult to accept it. If the Australian side is racist and sledge too much, then the opponents have the right to complain to the officials. This is what Ponting did in response to Harbajhans REPEATED slurs on Symonds.
As for any bad umpiring decisions, that is exactly what they are - umpiring decisions, not the fault of Ponting.

This is not about Australia being superior, firstly it's about sportmanship, which is deficient on both sides in this case. Secondly its about power and money, India are the most powerful financially in cricket and rightly or wrongly will be appeased and the appeal hearing will be held when the series is complete, allowing Singh to play.
But I could care less... I'm only concerned about the blatant racism I've encountered here, all else in the face of that is petty. It's just beyond repugnant.
