After watching some of the qualifying matches and the first match of the main round of the Champions trophy, it seems to me that the BCCI has finally decided to put some money back into the infrastructure and improve the quality of the Stadiums.
The stadium in Jaipur, although still without a permanent roof over the stands, has had lots of work done on it. In the words of Andrew Flintoff "It's a lot different then it was when we played here last year. They built new stands, a the outfield looks lush."
In Mohali, the stadium immediately looked like it had some work done on it.
In the BCCI's ventures to squeeze every single penny out of this whole cricket business they possibly can, it looks like they have taken the smarter route and are tried to make sure to nehacne teh infrastructure.
Yea i realised that the stadiums in india are quite nice and have nice views, even thoughi hate to admit it. I also think is BCCI making good changes in pitches as we saw this CT is totally working for bolwer only.
Basically, Cricket is more business than normal sports. So to get good business the infrastructure has to be good. So we find better stadiums and better overall cricket atmosphere. Moreover this is a very important tournament, it's like a mini world cup. ICC is watching. These are the reasons we find some improvements done.
Yes tapan cricket is just a bisiness where you found lots of money. So if want make good money from your business than your stadiums has to be good and have good facility. So thats the reason behind good stadiums in India.
Yes, cricket has found big money and for that as tapan and set has correctly pointed out, that the statiums and other facility has to be good. But whatever the reason may be at least now the spectators will enjoy the match more.
