Its Ashes time again but this time its down under, both teams seem to have a few injury worries but neverthles their top players seem to have hit form at the right time !!
The 1st Test as usual is gonna be a big one, it will be early advangtage or early disadvantage for the teams, hope both do well and let the better one win, will be great to see a fighting draw too !!
Punter has ridiculed the thought of his team being a old one but a fact it is.
Hmmm will the old Test team standup and give a good fight to the upcomming and improving young Test team of poms ???
So finally match and Ashes started. Good start for Austraila who won the toss and select bat first on batting track. Ricky Ponting once agian playing good innings and hits his 32nd century. He is just 3 away from Sachin.
England is definitely missing the leadership of Michael Vaughn, Flintoff is just not getting enough commitment out of the players. I know it is early days in the test series, but we could see a series white wash if there is not drastic improvement from England.
Bad start for England because they lost 3 important wickts on 53 runs at the stumps. They Austraila made 602 runs. I am sure this match will not go iun 5th day. This is very bad start.
It seems England is going to suffer one of the worst defeat in it's history. Australia after taking a lead of 445 runs have chosen to bat in the second innings and at stumps they were 181/1. In total the lead now is 626.
England showing the fight they didn't in the first three days. But Tragedy for Collywobble, that deserved a century. Stumped for 96 off Warne. England have gone all defensive again. They won the last couple of sessions by attacking the bowlers, but they've retreated into their shell now.
Good fight back from the poms!I think the biggest problem the english will face on this tour is too get 20 wickets in a test. The other test playing countries had the same problem, SA last year had the aussies in trouble on a few occasions, just for the middle order to add on another 200 - 250 runs.
I don't believe at this stage England have the bowlers to dismiss the Aussies twice in a test. Adelaide is also a flat track so there could be another 600+ for the aussies in the first innings!
