I think we should discuss about the smaller teams as well. Kenya has been playing in the international circuit for quite some time now. I don't think they have got that kind of success which should have been achieved by them till now. Please share your thoughts here.

Kenya I believe is struggling and hasnt caused an upset since then. I guess miracles does happen but only a few times in our lives as was the case with them.Kenya hasnt really devoloped any talented players, most are lacking fire power.
Tanmay mishara looks like a promising player with good disecpline and technique in both batting and wicket keeping. Peter Ongondo (who isnt express) is know for his accurate line and length, he was in the top ten wicket takers last year even though they he bowled to weak oppents its still an achievement. Apart from these two the current young kenyian players in the squad is dissapointing. From them Colin Obuya is a standout, he showed alot promise in 2003 World Cup but hasnt lived up to his mark since then, he did become known for his 5/24 against Srilanka to win them the match and also to become among the top wicket takers in the World Cup 2003. In 49 matches he has picked up 26 wickets only.
The players who I believe can make the difference for kenya's is their older and more exprienced players- Steve Tikalo is a classy batsman and their best, follewed by Ravindu Shah who is another classy batsman. Thomas Odoyo is geniune class all rounder, handy with the bat and bowl. He debuated 11 years ago and thankfully he is still 28. These three can can help Kenya to cause an upset against bigger team. |

Actually Zuniad is correct because as per average statistics Kenya has not really done anything which shows they are a power to be reckoned with. But it has been found that in bigger events smaller teams do create upsets.

Teams like Kenya, Ireland, Bangladesh plays cricket with more passion and team spirit because they have to prove so many things. They always find extra energy when they meet better opponents. So Kenyan are a good team and can beat anyone.

I think there was a period of not so much activity in Kenyan Cricket. I suggest ICC should try and help in a better way to the teams like Kenya. Bigger teams should be advised by the ICC that they have to send U-19 and U-21 teams to Kenya, Netherlands and other smaller countries so that they improve.

In this cup at least Kenyans have not achieved what they were looking for. I expected better results from the Kenyan team. May be in future they will do better.

To really make any major difference in their performance Kenya should play more International matches. To do that they have to talk with ICC and arrange for more overseas tours.

The ICC has to be more active if they want the minnows to perform better. They have to promote the game in a better way in these countries so that more and more people gets involved and the interest increases.
