Everybody hurts about Indian cricket. The reason being that sales of television sets and other electronics has come to a standstill, there is no more cheer on the roads, that there is a world cup happening has all but faded and it is a generally sad state of events.
The sponsors themselves may not be disappointed. Their brand value has not taken a knock. In fact nobody is blaming any particular company for the fall out. Rather the public is taking ire out on the players for endorsing the brands. Are these beliefs in the right place or should the sponsors take responsibility as well for promoting men beyond their means and ability?
