In the light of india's world cup exit, the BCCI will be reviewing the positions of the captain and coach.

On the coaching front, i would like to see either Dav Whatmore or Bennett King (possibly also Tom Moody) take over the reigns from Greg Chappell. Another option is John Wright again but I doubt he will come back.

The captaincy side is a lot more difficult. Who should be captain?
* Dravid - poor record, too defensive and portrays negative body langauage on the field. However, unfortunately, he may be still our best option
* Ganguly - too old and will not be a long-term proposition
* Tendulkar - took the tenure twice with poor results and frankly doesnt want to be captain
* Sehwag - 12 months ago he would have been the standout but does he have the maturity and consistency to match his aggression. Can be balance aggression and responsibility? If so, then he could be our future captain
* Yuvraj - some may argue he is too young but look at Fleming and Smith who both started early. He is also aggressive and can play those match-winning knocks, and can inspire the team with positive fielding. Dark horse, but if he can be mature about it and not let it go to his head, he could be a chance.

No one really stands out as a strong positive leader like a Graeme Smith or Ricky Ponting, so are we simply stuck with Dravid?

Have your say

Smith he got spot when jondy got out due to injury, when we compare Smith captaincy for our selection then we have more options for captain; Bcaz smith became captain with short period of his career.

So if Indian selectors are that much brave in taking decitions we have more pleyers to consider..the young who is have leading capability, not only Yuvi>>>>>

What do u Think?

Yes my choice also KAif, bcaz under his captaincy India won Under19 Worldcup;

Good fielder, motivator, aggressive and gud middle order batsman too.

Coach should be Indian and not to be Foreign (particullarly not Austiralian)

Are we going to make a captain for next four years? Why the question of Ganguly - two more years are coming. Let us think for about two tours at a time. When Indian cricket was in all kind of trouble Ganguly took charge and gave India success. He should be made captain again and Yuvraj as Vice Captain who needs to be prepared for the next captain's post if Ganguly fails or retires.

Sreesanth would be ideal captain in a couple of yrs Smile but for the moment it seems like Dhoni and Yuvraj are the stand out vice captain options.
