I remember once Cricket was only played during the winter season. But now it is being played all through the year. The result is obvious. Cricket World Cup is being played in front of almost empty stadiums. Too much of anything is not good.
While I do agree that there are too much of Cricket being played but when we look at the schedules of England, New Zealand and even Australia they are playing under a controlled schedule.
India is going to play 45 one day internationals in the coming season. It means they are going to play approximately 4 matches each month be it summer or monsoon. This is certainly too much.
If India is going to play 45 one dayers that means there will be partcipations from other International teams as well. There is no doubt that there is excessive cricket going on.
