I read where this "brave man" asks whether Andrew Symonds would have done the same if the streaker was a woman.
My question is, Would he and his friend who bashed an elderly man which caused his death have done the same if someone like Andrew Symonds, Matthew Hayden or even Vivian Richards stepped out of the car after the accident?
I wonder??????????????????????????

You are an idiot. Oh so typical. At least the people who are being challenged are young and fit i.e. professional athletes. One must admit though, the Indian cricketers are not what you would call prime specimans.
In Australia, Singh Sidhu WOULD NOT be on television. Perhaps you Indians have more in common with the USA than you admit? realise.
This lowlife (Singh) and his friend bashed an OLD MAN. Are you condoning that? Perhaps he was a D******? Oh, that's right, a D**** can never hope to own a car!!!

My erudite Aussie friend, your choice of moniker (thugee) is enough evidence of which century your knowledge of India belongs to!

You have no idea of modern India, most of the states have D**** chief ministers. Yes we did have problems of caste and religion and what not, but it's not rampant any more and largely restricted to rural areas...

By the way, I thought this was a Cricket forum... Are you aware Sidhu's case is going through a proper judicial process... He was convicted of a crime and sentenced... He promptly resigned from his parliament seat... Now he has appealed his case in Supreme Court... So what gross injustice or social unrest do you see in this case?

As to my moniker, as it is an Indian cricket forum I thought I would use a word that is easy to remember. What to use for this century which is applicable to India? A list below for a new moniker;
- bollwood lady boy
- matchfixer
- ball tamperer
- I'm taking my bat and ball and going home
- We play within the spirit of the game
- Please don't watch Dhoni or Harbajan on YOUTUBE last time in England
- The Australians cheated
- Please don't watch YOUTUBE
OH I could make this list go on forever.
As for Sidhu, did he ever serve time in gaol? We have had sport stars in this country who have recently been arrested for assault. NOT MANSLAUGHTER, NOT MURDER, but assault. They have had their tv contracts torn up and have little hope of them ever being offered to them again.
My point is, he bashed and killed an old man. I personally don't care what or how the Indian justice system operates. I would have the same viewpoint if it was a case in Australia. The fawning and hero worship that occurs in India over anyone involved in cricket makes me laugh particularly in this case - I guess it shows the intellect of some (not all) of India's cricket fans. If he killed someone such as a rapist or even a burglar, I can understand.
Enough people value his thoughts for him to be on television in India.I think that says enough in itself. He. or someone of his ilk would not be acceptable here. [/list]

c'mon you can do better than just rambling like this... A man of your intellect... Looks like you've been reading too much Kipling or Maugham... Have a good life, mate... If you know so much about Sidhu's case, why don't you write to the President of India or the Chief Justice with full details? Better still, go down to Jallandhar and fight against him in the courts... What's the point of arguing about it on an internet forum with strangers?

I wont be doing that because;
a) you lot get what you deserve.
b) to walk through your streets mean ruining a couple pair of shoes.

I notice you refuse to reply to my other points?
As for reading, I have read Kipling (not a huge fan - too much of a Sahib for me). Maugham? I found a trifle boring.
In truth, I read a lot of forums/blogs from India and I love to wind you lot up. I am tertiary educated, speak 3 languages and have lived overseas working for a total of 6 years.
Whenever I present facts it seems no one will argue with me. I can rant with the best yet can change like the chameleon.
I am a rascist, yet I am educated and widely travelled. We are the most dangerous because we use the boofhead skinheads et al to our advantage.
Don't worry though, I think the more Indians in our country the better.
You like cricket!

Ok my friend, you like to talk facts let's do it... Please ask any question about India that you would like me to answer... I promise to answer them honestly and to the best of my capability... In response to some of your earlier postings, here's what I have to say...

1. Yes, I deplore the section of Mumbai crowd making "Monkey" chants
2. Yes, I agree Australia is the No.1 Cricket Team in the world
3. Yes, I agree India is a poor country with terrible infrastructure
4. Yes, Australia is a rich country with very good infrastructure
5. Yes, I agree Sidhu should go to jail and serve time for his crime

Let's hear some more...

I agree with most of what you say except;
1) Potentially, India IS EXTEMELY WEALTHY; I understand the need for defence against a volatile state to your west; otherwise that money is better spent on social programs.
2) I think that the more Indians in my country the better - they assimilate like the British, Canadians and Europeans (my fiancee is Spanish)
3) My country is no1 because of our infrastructure - there is no excuse for your country not to be the same considering that cricket is no1 in India.

India is a functioning democracy, there are VERY FEW like that today in the world. Your country is not perfect, nor mine.
I love Indian women, the food and the architecture in your country.
My problem is, I love winding people up... .

Great, now that we agree on some things, how about these?

1. I say that Australian cricket team is one the most arrogant group of sportspeople. Being the best in the world or in professional sports is no excuse for being rude and nasty.

2. Using abuses and being tough is as much part of Australian domestic cricket as it is anywhere, its just that your team carries it on against international teams (esp at home)

3. Australian sports in particular and society in general have rampant racism. Your first priority should be to clean up your own house before sermonizing to the rest of the world esp. the Asians who have suffered racism from others for many centuries.

I could go on but am afraid to raise the Mr. Hyde in your personality... My problem is that I expect people to be nice to each other on Internet...

He can never be called a coward, i think it is not the right word for him. A coward could never come out and talk in public after committing a f**** thing. I wonder those news channels that promote people like him should be called so.

I agree; what's wrong with being rude and nasty? It seems strange how we never have problems with NZ or England. They have a similiar mentality to us - in the winter they have played violent body contact sports where the aim is to bash the others senseless. That comment shows your ignorance of sport in general. India play hockey (once were very good) but what else? More importantly, what do you play at a standard where you are close to being the best in the world?
All great teams/athletes have an arrogance and a nasty streak. Look at Jordan. Do you have any idea what he used to say to opponents? As the Milwall soccer fans say "nobody likes us - we don't care". There are countless examples of champions who use intimidation as a tool. The problem with you lot is that you have no sport where men are pitted against men and physical confrontation is expected. Cricket is not a contact sport and never should be. The mentality of intimidation, verbal warfare and being nasty is something that all great teams/athletes possess. That is why India will never be no1 in any sport for any length of time. Growing up here you have to be tough to survive. Our sports are unforgiving. You make it because of your ability - not because your family can afford for you to play sport.
Australians are not the only ones who sledge. The Ashes is the toughest cricket in the world along with our domestic cricket. What's wrong with that? Are you saying that Indians don't sledge and, more to the point, have never?
"Rampant racism?" How about you give me some examples?
Let me guess, I can name 2 straight away.
1) The White Australia Policy? If we had allowed mass immigration we would not have the country/society we have today. We have here a functioning democracy, virtually no corruption in our 3 levels of government, extemely good infrastructure and most importantly, our country is CLEAN with superb sanitation. Take out Singapore and Japan and name an Asian country that is clean. Name an Asian country that doesn't stink. If a person dies in the street here I guarentee that within the hour you will have an ambulance and the police there. I have seen bodies in the street in India. No great rush there to clean up!!!!!!
We knew what we were doing. With a Europeon majority we were able to create a society whereby we would have none of the problems that exist in the countries to our north. It seems strange that there are always people wanting to live here. WHY IS THAT?
2)The Cronulla riots. That was a result of a certain ethnic and religous group who think they are above the law. They think they can apply their values (Those which belong in the Middle Ages) here. When women are constantly harrassed at the beach, when lifeguards are beaten up by a pack of animals the ordinary people in those suburbs had had enough. No coverage was given to the same middle eastern group who bashed on the same day a pregnant woman and her partner.
We have laws in this country regarding racism. It is a crime to discriminate against someone on the basis of their colour or religion. You will be charged. Is that the same in India? I know that answer to that but I'm interested in your reply.
As for Asians suffering racism, they seem to do a good job amongst themselves. Having been immersed in Japanese culture, do you have any idea how they view Asians? They don't even regard themselves as Asian.
What about the Chinese with Tibet? The Chinese with the Vietnamese? Your lot have fought a particularly nasty war with the Chinese.
Every country, every race is racist. Don't you think that India and it's culture is superior? Don't you think that India is superior to Pakistan? To the Maldives? That is a form of racism. We think we are superior. I have no qualms in admitting I am a racist. But only against men. Bring in your women I say.
I am quite happy to have Chinese and Indians in my country. I am not happy to have the grouping I previously mentioned. Your lot assimilate as do the Chinese and marriage within the races is no problem. That is what it is all about. I am a racist and many others in my country feel the same way. I can't wait for your reply. I just know you are going to bring up the aborigines.

Ok hotshot, here's a rundown of sports in which India has excelled at World/Asian level and continues to do so: Chess, Snooker, Billiards, Shooting, Boxing, Wrestling, Tennis, Hockey, Weightlifting, Volleyball... Not counting indigenous sports like Kabbaddi, Kho Kho etc.

Could you please educate us which sports has Australia excelled at besides Cricket, Rugby and Swimming... Oh yeah, Aussie rules maybe... And of course, breeding racists like you by your own admission... Arranged marriages, suttee, thuggee, corpses on the streets, I'd once again say you've either been reading too much Kipling or smoking ganja...

Talk about leading with your chin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Let's talk globally: OLYMPIC GAMESAtlanta 1996 Aust. 7th 41 medals. India ????????? 1 medal (bronze)Sydney 2000 Aust. 4th 58 medals. India ????????? 1 medal    "Athens 2004 Aust. 4th 49 medals. India ?????????? 1 medal    "THE BAHAMAS ARE MORE SUCCESSFULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Australia has hosted the Olympic Games TWICE. And India??????????Your female weightlifters are probably your best chance to win a medal. Good looking girls? there!!!!!!!!!!COMMONWEALTH GAMESAustralia has led the medal tally by a long way for a long time. India comes in a poor 4th or 5th at absolute best.2010 the games are held in India. Woooo Wooooo.Do you think you could possibly hold the Olympic games this CENTURY??A point for you to consider, an AFL footballer named Brad Green was Aust. under 19 captain. Craig Bradley toured as V/C to Pakistan. Brett Deledio was a state junior cricketer. There are hundreds of others who choose AFL over cricket in the Afl states. We have so many sports from which to choose. Yet we are still no1.FOR MEN;CRICKET, HOCKEY(olympic champs), swimming, cycling, basketball, water polo, surfing, rugby union, rugby league, volleyball, baseball the list could go on.FOR WOMEN;No 1 in the world in basketball, netball. Top 3 in swimming, surfing, hockey, cricket. Softball, cycling, waterpolo. The list could go on.I oh forgot, WOMEN ARE NOT ENCOURAGED/ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE AS WOMEN ARE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!I forgot, too much of the old cultured spiritual thing.I could mention sports like tennis where we have a rich tradition, soccer, where both men and women are climbing up the rankings. We have had the greatest biliards player ever Walter Lindrum. How many Indians in the Tour De France?????How many boxing world champions has India ever had????Do you really think that you could beat us at volleyball???We have had plenty of shooting champions at the Olympics. Usually in skeet and trap - you lot are not strong enough physically to hold and shoot a shotgun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I could talk sailing - who where the first to win the America's Cup? Plenty of olympic sailing champions as well. I understand if you're not interested in that. CAN'T SWIM CAN WE? All this stuff is right off the top of my head (except for the Olympic stats').Go to Fiji and see what happens to you there. They love bashing Indians!!Your problem is, I know far more about your country than you do mine. It shows in the stupidity of your question regarding Australia and sporting prowess across a broad spectrum.
YOU FORGOT TO MENTION BURNING OTHER COUNTRIES FLAGS. YOU LOT ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS AT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
