Mohammad Essa scored a perfect free kick with 10 minutes remaining to help Pakistan tie India 1-1 in the first of a three-match soccer series between the two countries in Quetta on Sunday.
After a goal-less first half, India found the net first in the 65th minute when striker Sunil Chetri slammed his right-footed shot into the back of the net.
With 10 minutes remaining, Pakistan won a free kick and Essa drove the ball over the wall of India's defense, beating diving goalkeeper Satish Kumar.
India failed to convert in the first half with strikers Chetri and Abhishek Yadav both missing easy scoring chances.

is bhatia or bhutia (cant remember how his name is spelt) playing?
he was tipped to be an amazing player, but when he came over to england, and play for bury he didnt do too well. i think he then moved onto singapore. maybe HY2J has heard of his progress. i think the team was called singapore allstars - but it was a rumour, he may have ended up somewhere else

i think ur talking about Baichung Bhatia...yeah he didn't make much of an impact in england supposedly due to lack of playing time...but he's doing pretty good in Singapore and is like one of the top scorers or something _________________ http://panthers.sjcricket.org http://www.bayareacricket.org

oh yeah you gotta watch a match between Mohan Bagan and Cochin...
just a little tid-bid....Mohan Bagan beat the England team back in like the 1920s and for the next 2 years they didn't eat at home, as people always invited them to their houses for dinner _________________ http://panthers.sjcricket.org http://www.bayareacricket.org
