"God" hmm ,not sure about that mate but he is a fine batsman none the less.
As an Australian supporter I hope he does'nt get a ton ,but as a supporter of cricket in general I think it would be great for him ,in probably his last test in Australia ,as it would be for the Indian supporters.
Now that Ponting and Kumble have resolved thier differences hopefully we see some great cricket.  |

Racism and sledging aint the same thing and australia has never once in its history being caught ball tampering or any of the thingss that could be branded cheating unlike india.... wonder if they stile want to pack their bags and go home |

Currymuncher, you always lose your temper when some australian posters type racist garbage, but you are just as bad as them.
I am sure the majority of indians would be as embarrassed at your posts as I am of the racist rumblings of some of the australians.
If you want to be taken seriously, cut out your racism and stereotyping.

Its not so much that I am offended by them, just that it is really poor form to be having this sort of racism on a cricket forum. There are people who want to talk about the cricket, and the racism and hatred spoils it a bit.
We should be talking about Brett Lee being the best bowler in the world, Sharma being the most promising quick in the world, the young guns of india in the one day side. these are the real issues IMO. |

Absolutely agree with you. This is after all a cricket forum... I guess the events over the last one month did polarize the cricket-lovers in both countries a bit. I am sure if we all think with a cooler head, people in both the countries have a lot going for themselves.
What some of the more aggressive Aussie fans need to realize is that everyone knows your Cricket team is the best in the world, but you don't have to rub it in their faces. Why should your team use sledging to "mentally disintegrate" your opponents when you can do it with your abundant talent and skills.
Having said that, you do need to realize that Indians have copped so much racism and discrimination from the "White" people for so long, that to most of us being labeled a racist is the ultimate irony. Yes, we do have the caste system, poverty and lack of proper sanitation in large parts of India, but I don't understand how the absence of these things in Australia can make you superior to us as human beings.
What you will also note from the epithets (turban-knickers, condom-head, curry-muncher) used on this forum as well as the threatening tone of some postings, that racism is truly alive and kicking in your society. So it's time for sensible people like yourself to speak up and show to the rest of the world that you exist. Kudos my friend, for your courage in trying to drive some sense into these ignoramuses in your other postings. |
