I could not able to understand why Indian selectores are continously ignoring Left arm fast bowler Zahir khan.
Zahir had good season in coutry cricket,England and he done ecellent job.He picked 9 wickets in Single innigs past few weeks ago.
I think he out of team because of he always supports ganguly. |

| One time he was best bowler for india but some bad games put him out of Indian team. But now he performed well in country cricket and his records are excellent.I dont know wht Indian selectors keep him out of team. |

| I think that zaheer when given a chance did not perform his best for the team and so he was dropped out but now recently ive heard he is playing very well and taking lots of wickets so i think he will be given a fair chance next time. |

Well even though Zaheer Khan did a spectacular job before. Now I think he has tough competition. India has many better bowlers than him.
Though I feel that he should be given a chance but still the options are too many in fast bowling now. |

Zaheer Khan deserves his rightful place in the current Indian line-up, but why does the coveted spot in the final eleven eludes him is baffling, taking into consideration the fact that once he was looked upon as the spearhead of Indian fast bowling. Many say that Irfan Pathan has replaced him in this team, but I beg to differ, simply because the two of them belong to different genres of fast bowling. Irfan is a swing bowler whereas Zaheer is more of 'hit the deck' sort of bowler. It would be rightful to say Munaf Patel is the replacement for Zaheer, and mind you, he's doin' pretty well.
What I suggest is that Indian selectors should maintain to sets of fast bowling attack, each consisting of three. One would be: Irfan, Munaf, Shrishanth and the other would be: Ajit, Zaheer, Balaji. Both the sets are pretty balanced and can be used in alternative matches, thus keepin' the atackin' machine well oiled and hungry to outperform the other set.
However, there is a ray of hope for Zaheer as Dinesh Mongia's performance in the county league has been taken into consideration for national selection and Zaheer's case might follow. |

| I dont think zaheer truly deserves it. When he was given the chance he was inconsistant and did not took many wickets either. His economy was high too. I guess taking all these factors into consideration. Zaheer hasnt been selected in top 11. Anyways lets see what comes in the near future. |

i thought zaheer was a good bowler, but it seems we have more bowling options so we are more ruthless with selection - which is a good thing
it seems we are more ruthless when it comes to the selection of bowlers, and give the batsmen some more chances! |

Exactly! We have a lot of bowling options. But they too need to be used up very wisely. Like Agit Agarkar was a very good bowler but due to injuries he lagged behind and is now harldy seen in the top 11. |

| zaheer if i remember right also had attitude issues. did not gavaskar say he tried to beat up wright? He needs to get hisa ct together. he didnot exactly set ganges on fire in recent times. his a poor fielder and a wayward bowler. if he has the wrong attitude then maybe he is better of dating shravni and play county cricket |

i've got to agree here...i mean the attitude part not the shravni part...
that's right, the guy didn't really set ganges on fire....i kinda think the current bowlers are doing a good job....only problem, they're not good with the bat!
in the recent tri-series, almost every bowler got a wicket...and isn't that an excellent job....everyone contributed......zaher is ....emmmmm, still unpredictable! |
