The race is on and its for a place in the indian team as a specialist
spinner in the world cup.
bhajji - brightest prospect, played the last world cup, and most likely
will be playing next year too, his selection is almost sure, but he is going
to get some tight competition from the rest
kumble - his recent consistent performances in test cricket, has made
the selectors confused, whether to include him or not in the one dayers,
but my personal opinion is, he still has a few drawbacks in one dayers
1) his fielding 2) srilankans and pakistanis play him easily
but then he is in great form, and in slow westindies pitches, can be
dangerous
powar - he was highly impressive in india tour of pak in 2004, and is
truly a good one day cricketer, and in the last 8 one dayers, his
statistics is better than bhajji ! so he should be playing the world cup
Harbhajan is our best odi spinner...but i feel we need kumble in the squad too.We need to play 2 spinners in the wi,so why not field our best spinners?kumble bowled well in tests in wi.He can be useful in the WorldCup.His experience will be a huge factor too.
powar has done quite well but i feel he is no kumble, and neither can be.

not totally convinced we need 2 spinners in the windies, but maybe 2 spinners in the squad and depending on the pitch, select between them or choose them both
I think India must pick up 2 specialist spinner in the world cup.We saw that slow bowler made big damage from both sides in last series. Also condition is suitable for indian spinner so i hope selectores takes 2 specialist spinner for the world cup.
