Seems to have steadily deteriorated over the past year or so. His bowling speed has dropped but so has his accuracy. He still can't seem to swing the ball if the conditions aren't suitable.
His batting's improved, but not to the extent that it's covered his bowling deterioration. This guy was India's No.1 bowler a bit over a year ago - what happened to him? |

yeh i agree
its such a big shame - thought he was a promising youngster who would be able to carry india's bowling requirements for a few years
unfortunately he seems to be losing his bowling talent |

| Every player is suffering from mental uncertainty. We Indians excel when there is security, otherwise performance drops, that is the case with Pathan. During the last one year we have seen Pathan batting a bit and forgot how to bowl. |

good point, and i hope he realises this and works on his bowling. i think he has the potential to be an all rounder, as that is somethign we really need in the tean |

I guess the all round role has seriously effected his bowling. He lost his pace which is nothing like threatening to any batsman so he is getting predictable for everyone these days.
Dravid and the coach should realise the youngster is over burdened. I dont think the number three spot is the ideal one for him. He was selected as a front line bowler which should be his first job. Lets see, how long he can continue as a good batsman.
Pakistan has done the same thing with Kamran akmal by trying him on different spots in different condition and pitches and the guy who was in full form earlier, is even struggling to mantain his place. |

| I will held the current team management responsible for Pathan's poor bowling performance. He is not happy. A player should enjoy himself in the ground which is not the case with him. |

| I agree with you artp01. He is disturb due to indian team management and everybody expect to making runs and taking wickets,it's impossible things in cricket. |

| I suggest that Pathan should be given a leave of 2 months from international cricket and tell him to go to a holiday spot and enjoy life. He should not even think about cricket. He should go to a place where nobody knows cricket. Then after 1 month he must come back and visit the place ar vadodara from where he started his cricket life. Take oath and re-start his career again. He should then concentrate on bowling. We have a very strong batting line-up. We need him to bowl. |

at the moment there is nothing veyr strong about it - sometimes it just takes one wicket and the whole pack falls down
full of stars - but no realiability |

totally agree with emjay.....couldn't have said it better.
like a quote i heard from a member before "they aren't actually setting ganges on fire" with the current line-up
did you guys watch yesterday's game india-vs-england ICC match.....india was sitting so confortably becuz of the bowlers and there it goes.....pathan, dravid (must have been the fire-works )......dhoni, sachin, raina......stupidity all around....they didn't win becuz of good batting but becuz they were catching a small figure....and at some point created unnecessary tension even when they only had 6 runs to wins.
when you got your enemies down......your KEEP them down |
