Before the ashes they fight here. well the mighty assusies are in a spot of bother. England lost to India in their last match while Australia lost to WI.though the situation for both games were different.

Now for both of team its a must win becuase another loss will indicate elemination.

The match is in Jaipur and not Mumbai so the wicket should be flatter than what we have seen in Mumbai, in the last match SL scored 250+ and Pakistan chased it, it could have easily been 300+ for SL if they had not thrown away their wickets and then there would be dew in the second half of the match which should make it difficult for the spinners. So the side winning the toss maybe fielding first here to avoid that and we should have a relatively high scoring game. I think these wickets are good for ODI it had become too much of a batsman's game, it also shows how the batting standards have fallen over the years all these batsmen would look like demi-gods if the wickets were as flat as they usually are, now they have to grind it out and it is really seperating boys from the men. I would like more such wickets in ODI cricket where we have something for the bowlers as well.

Yet agian low scoring game from ICC champions trophy and yet agian lost of England. After this match England is out of CT. I think pitch is good for the match but England's batsmen failed to perform well and they allout in 169 runs.Smile

No emjay there is no possibility that they can qualify for semi-finals because if they won 1 match but they lost agianst AUS and new rules is applied here. Also Run-rate is bad for England which does not allowed more chance for semi's.Smile

No set England have still chance for qualify in 2nd place and enter the semifinals.

If India beat both WI and AUS with high RR.
If England beat WI with high RR.

Than ENG,AUS and WI have same points and every one won each other viceversa. So England will qualify for semi.
