Do you recommend any changes for the Indian batting line-up in the next game? We have to cosider India's poor batting record for the past few matches. As the next match is very important India needs to win to be sure of a semi-final berth.

Considering India's next match where a win against the West Indies is very important, I think at now we should not go for any change. All the players should bat at their normal positions. India needs Sehwag to score runs in the match to keep the winning chance alive.

I think in next matches agianst West Indies we should make one change. I think Rahul Dravid should come at number three postion because he is great batsmen and also he is out of form now. Pathan should be dropped at no. 7.

I think we should follow same batting line-up as we played few months ago. India need few changes in batting order and my batting order should be,

Sachin
Sehwag
Dravid
Yuvraj
Kaif
Dhoni
Pathan

Thats make a good differnce.Smile

mix of salid n hit players should be in right order; i feel as follows

Sachin (Salid)
Sewag (Hit)
Dravid (Salid)
Pathan (Hit)
Yuvaraj ( Salid & Hit)
Dhoni (Hit)
Raina / Kaif (Saild)

1. 2 fiftys from salid n 30 adds from hitters will be give 250 runs on board
2. Accoring to situation, players can change order (Pathan & Raina can change vice versa; no other change not advicable)
3. Partership is very important atleast one 100 runs partnership need from any top order; orwise its Indain's dewali gift to WI to play Semi.......

what do u think..

its an interesting way of lining up the team, but one which i actually practice

when i skipper the team, i always have 2-3 batsmen padded up (not because i expect a batting collapse!), but they are batsmen of 3 different types

1 will be a defensive - dravidesque kind of player
2 will be a pinch hitter/powerful hitter - like a sehwag/pathan
3 will be one who is a fast runner and supports the other player

depending on the bowling, and also the current situation, you keep the next position fluid

however, this comes along with its own negative points, such as no consistency amongst the batting line up, the lack of concentration for some players who dont know they are goign in next for definate, etc

your thoughts?

I totally agree with you emjay that we should have three batsmen padded up who can bats accoroding to condition. If we have bad start than defensive player should come first. If we have good start than we should put powerful hitter and we need some fast runs than we should put fast runner.
