I think he is a great bowler but in terms of his batting i think he is overated. he only seems to make runs when there is no pressure. whenever the team needs him for his batting he seems to get out cheaply.I think his batting has gone worse whereas his bowling has improved over the years. what do you guys think?

Yup doesn't make runs when the pressure is on. Like the time he made 50+ in that crucial second test in Edgabaston.

The man just came back from surgery, give him time to settle in. People are putting too much on him. Captaincy, and expectations. He just came back and you expect him to blast 100 right away.

No he is not overrated. The problem with Flintoff is, he needs to motivate himself and he must set himself a new goal. He has already achieved his primary goal, now he needs to look forward and set a new goal.

I honesty believe that Freddie is a FANTASTIC bowler but he is overrated as a batsman. I would take Afridi over him, any day of the week as a batsman only. Of course, Freddie would get into any side in the world based on his bowling alone.

I agree with those of you who have written that Flintoff should not be batting at 5. He should be coming in at 6, also his shot selection is not the best is it.

I think he's really feeling the pressure of captaincy. The Aussies "target" the opposing skippers and Flintoff looks a troubled and confused man at the moment.

Flintoff is not overrated as a bowler but the England team expects too much from him as a batsman. I am really surprised why no one speaks about the failure of those who are there as a genuine batsman.
