I strongly suggest you to look beyond undisputed sports achievements of your country... No one is questioning them... All I am saying is learn some humility and don't hide behind the anonymity of Internet to turn into a vicious, malevolent person... You probably are a nice bloke in real life... Sensational!!!!!!!!!! At last, some real facts. It is good to know that I'm dealing with someone who at least has faced trials and tribulations in their life to arrive where they want to be (I hope for your sake). Ajit Agarkar(sic?) had a similiar situation. I respect that; I am well aware of the difficulties faced in a relationship where different cultures/religions collide. I am but the son of fishermen; education/trade skills were expected, not hoped for.
I judge people how they treat me. I don't care for certain cultures/religion. If you live in my country, it is, as they say in the classics, ... when in Rome... .
You can do what you like in your country; laws, customs, tradition and so on. I would not travel to your country and pontificate to you. I expect the same.
I have worked in the USA, Europe and Australia in tourism involving boats, waverunners(jetskis) and food. Have met many people from differing cultures and find that cricket is a binding thread.
Having said all of that, I am a sh.t stirrer at heart (I hope you understand that). I will argue for the sake of it.
As for humility, I'm Australian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't understand that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have always shaken the oppositions hand after a game, win, lose or draw.
I believe that Australia will one day be mostly Asian (that includes Japan, Korea and China). That, to me is not a bad thing. Democracy and human rights are paramount.
Between my friends (all tertiary educated and well travelled) nothing is sacred, including mothers.
