Dravid took most of the strike and added pressure to sehwag's natural game. Dravid was not supportive to sehwag's triple ton and he was much worried about getting 10000 runs. He thought his record is much bigger than sehwag's. I think getting 10000 was that 'one thing' in dravid's mind that is responsible for his lackluster performance in Australia. Do we need players of this mind frame?
I didn't see Dravid bat but I can well imagine after seeing him in Australia in the last series here. I hope the selectors drop him for the tour against Australia. The average Australian fan would prefer the Indians to select Y. Singh, Kaif of R. Sharma.
Dravid is able to bat for a whole day. He is your best slipper. Yes, he is slow but has a superb technique and can frustrate the bowlers which enables the other batsmen to take advantage.
20/20 has warped the average Indian fans perception of what is required to succeed in test cricket. PLEASE, PLEASE, drop him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK so Dravid aka the WALL is not the greatest entertainer when it comes to scoring quick runs (I reckon most batsman look slow when batting with Sehwag).
I strongly believe that the game's all about team work. Every member has to support the others. It's very important to hand over strikes to the batsman who's in form, and Dravid does waste quite some balls in setting himself up on the field.
